New species: Streptomyces corynorhini (Hamm et al. 2019) & Streptomyces buecherae (Hamm et al. 2020)

We identified antifungal activity of members of the bat skin microbiome against Pseudogymnoascus destrucans, the cause of white-nose syndrome (Hamm et al. 2017).

We isolated and identified nearly 3,000 bacterial cultures collected from the fur and skin of 314 bats across 12 species at six sites across New Mexico and Arizona (unpublished).

We sampled bats at six sites across New Mexico and Arizona, and found ~6% could inhibit P. destructans (unpublished).
